HE+ Project
HE+ is a collaborative project between the University of Cambridge and its Colleges, working together with groups of state schools and colleges in 19 regions of the UK. It has been running for over 10 years, and in 2021-22 worked with over 4000 Year 12 students from over 170 schools participating in the project.
ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë College supports the HE+ consortium based in our Link Area of Worcestershire, with Worcester Sixth Form College as the Hub School and working with schools from across the county. To find out more about HE+, please see the programme page . For queries about HE+ Worcester, please get in touch with Ellie at access@christs.cam.ac.uk in the first instance.
Not in Worcestershire? In addition to the regional programme, HE+ also provides opportunities for all students to explore their subject beyond the curriculum. The provides subject enrichment material produced by Cambridge postgraduate students and academics at the cutting edge of research in their field, including guided activities, questions to think about and suggestions for further reading. If you are looking for free resources to help you/your students go beyond what you are learning in the classroom, this is a great place to start!
Through our link schools and other initiatives, ÍõÖÐÍõÁùºÏ²ÊÌØÂë College is in regular contact with hundreds of high-attaining students from all over the UK. We offer a range of support for Sixth Form students from UK state schools to help them to prepare to apply to top universities during Year 12 (Year 13 in Northern Ireland and S5 in Scotland) and then a range of guidance for the application process in Year 13 (Year 14 in Northern Ireland and S6 in Scotland). For further information and to sign-up to our student support initiatives, please see the Support for Students page.
In addition to individual school visits, we also run a number of wider outreach events every year that provide an opportunity for students to visit the college. These events are open all areas of the UK (and internationally in the case of some webinars).
If you are interested in attending any of the below events, click on the relevant page to book a place, or register your interest if booking is not yet open. You will then receive an email when booking or applications for your chosen event/s open. Our online college open days include an optional in-person tour of the college later the same week, for those who wish to come.
