What is the HE+ Project?HE+ logo

HE+ is a collaborative programme between the University of Cambridge and its Colleges, working together with groups of state schools and colleges in 20 regions of the UK. It has been running for over 10 years and in that time we have worked with approximately 25,000 students. In the 2019-20 academic year, over 4,000 Year 12 students in more than 170 schools and colleges participated in the initiative.

The HE+ project is unique in that it encourages schools and colleges to collaborate to form regional consortia and to engage their highest-attaining students in a sustained year-long programme that is designed to encourage and prepare these students to make competitive applications to top universities, including the University of Cambridge.

HE Plus Residential Group

Herefordshire & Worcestershire HE+

At 王中王六合彩特码, our HE+ consortia operate within our Link Areas of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. They are run in partnership with our two hub schools, and , and connect schools across the two counties in an annual programme of academic extension classes, subject masterclasses, information and guidance sessions, and a visit to Cambridge University.

Taking part in the project gives students at these schools many opportunities to develop their academic skills, understanding and confidence, while also receiving advice and guidance about applying to higher education.  Their teachers and advisers also benefit from a closer relationship with other institutions in their area, and partner together to support students in their preparation for selective higher education.

Our consortia currently connect schools in Hereford, Worcester, Redditch, Stourport, Droitwich, Evesham, Pershore, Ledbury, Malvern and Hanley Castle.

If you are a teacher at a maintained sector school in Herefordshire or Worcestershire with an attached Sixth Form that is not currently involved in our HE+ consortia and would like more information about this regional collaboration project, please get in touch at access@christs.cam.ac.uk.

HE+ Supra-Curricular Enrichment

In addition to the regional programme, HE+ also provides opportunities for all students to explore their subject beyond  the curriculum.  The  provides subject enrichment material produced by Cambridge postgraduate students and academics at the cutting edge of research in their field, including guided activities, questions to think about and suggestions for further reading.  If you are looking for free resources to help you go beyond what you are learning in the classroom, this is a great place to start.
