Students have access to a wide range of exercise and sports opportunities, both at College and University level. It's difficult to cover all of them, but this page includes some examples, as well as details of facilities. College-level exercise and sport is inclusive, fun and accessible to all, providing opportunities to compete with other Colleges in leagues and one-day tournaments ('cuppers tournaments').

University-level teams of the more common sports are known as 'Blues' after the sporting award given to those who represent Cambridge in matches against other universities and Varsity matches against Oxford. At this level, trials are held and the teams are highly selective. However, in less common sports for which there aren't individual college clubs, University-wide clubs and teams provide opportunities for everyone to get involved in the sport they love. In Freshers' Week, there are sports and societies fairs both at College and University level, where you can go to chat with club members and find out more about activities you might be interested in joining.
